COST€R Tool

COST€R Tool 2.6 consists of a database driven programme, allowing you to create your own cost estimate for the multimedia product you want to produce. This is done through a detailed and iterative decision-tree process, whereby you put in certain information and the programme will then provide costing estimates based on real costs and production practice in Belgium, France or Spain. The costing tool also allows you to make the conversion between different currency exchange rates and to compare costs between different countries. It does not help you to budget a whole eLearning initiative, such as the set-up of a virtual university, but it does calculate the costs of a single multimedia product such as a video, web site, an audio-programme, a videoconference, a CD-Rom that contains a tutorial etc….
